Get ready to thrift for some cheetah print!
Are you one that loves trends but hate to see them shoved in your dresser drawer, unused, months from now? Im guilty of this and I’m really starting to regret the money spent and the clutter layering around. So I thought of the genius idea that many have been using before me, thrift those trendy pieces.
As you may have seen, cheetah print is a big trend that has been making it’s way around. I have seen at least five girls on Instagram in the last week with those pretty silk midi skirts in that large cheetah print (someone tell me you know what I am talking about) and boy was I resisting the urge to just purchase it myself. Instead of paying that pretty penny, I went on the hunt for something similar at my local Salvation Army. Let me tell you, they are clearly in the know of what is hot. Everywhere you turned there was a section of cheetah print. Need a shirt, dress or matching belt? Check, check and check. They had it all.
Needless to say, I clearly didn’t leave the store empty handed. In fact, I left with two pieces in cheetah print. This skirt you see here and a silk mini dress that I will be sharing later on. What’s funny is I left the skirt behind, wander around the store, then ran back to grab it before it disappeared. For some odd reason I wasn’t feeling it at first. So happy I tried it on because it’s quickly becoming a staple for me.
If you are wanting to try the cheetah print trend, check out your local thrift shop. See what you can find. Feel free to also browse my Poshmark Closet, I’m going to try to find and list some similar pieces there for you all.
In that same thrift trip I picked up this vintage Eddie Bauer Sweater in this vibrant white. I’ve been loving the neutrals lately so I knew it and the skirt would be a fantastic duo.
In total I spent $13 for the skirt and sweater. That is definitely some trendy thrifting.
So what are your thoughts on the cheetah print trend? Love it or can do with out?
Below I linked some similar pieces from you big name stores.
