Spell and The Gypsy Collective Delilah Patchwork Short Kimono
Are we surprised, another post about a kimono right after a post about a kimono? I wasn’t kidding when I said I had a collection and one that is growing by the minute.
This one is a special one for sure though. It comes from a brand that I discovered in 2016, that has actually quickly become a favorite of mine. Spell and The Gypsy Collective is the one to watch, if you aren’t already. They have grown more and more since those two short years when I first stumbled upon them, to the point that their collections literally fly off the shelves, especially those pretty little kimonos. You can’t even get one in your cart before they are gone. Even though my heart drops with disappointment when I see that sold out sign, there is a little bit of hope inside that more will come available. In this case I got lucky. I decided to browse their site late one night last week and they must have just released a handful more kimonos because I was able to grab one before that dreaded sold out sign appeared. You know I acted fast though and I am so glad I did because once again they were sold out a couple hours later.
As I check their site while writing this post up they are unfortunately currently out of stock but I can say with 100% confidence that it is well worth the look out for this beauty. The color combo is everything anyone needs for spring, even summer. It’s lightweight, easy to layer over honestly anything and just pretty to look at hanging in your closet. If you are a kimono queen (reference from my last post) you will want to get your hands on this for sure. You do have the option of long and short so if you are a strictly a long kimono queen keep your eyes peeled for that one and also go check it out on their Instagram because it’s so breathtakingly beautiful. I personally had a hard time choosing which one I was going to go for but in the end decided the short may be a more practical choice for every day wear and also had the thought that it may be nice to finally add the first short kimono to the collection. Not disappointed with my choice at all, even though I see that long one styled and I fall in love.
I will let you all know Spell pieces are pieces you will have for years to come. In fact my first purchase from Spell was a pair of their bell bottoms, that to this day I cherish and wear frequently. So it goes to show that these pieces are well, well loved and money well spent.
Can’t wait to twirl in this gem forever. Has anyone else shopped Spell before?
