Shoes you need and shoes you need to watch!
For anyone that may not know, I am a shoe fanatic. I always have been and probably always will be, unless bags take over. Which I have to say are a very close runner up in the over flowing in the closet department. But shoes for me are a real staple. You can have a plan t-shirt on and the shoe can make all the difference. So below are all the shoes that I either currently have and love or are I am wanting and watching out for.
Grove Lace-Up Western Boot Free People x Jeffrey Campbell: these are the perfect example of going casual with the outfit and spicing it up with the shoes. I have actually worn these with jeans, a white tee and a white flowy kimono. I made the shoes the show stopper of the look and they definitely had people asking where they were from.
Vans Old Skool Platform Sneakers: a great example of taking a classic sneaker giving it a little something, something. What I mean is, that platform detail makes all the difference. It’s like that little one to two inch add on makes your legs look miles longer. I love throwing these on with some leggings and a graphic tee for a super casual look.
Dr. Martens Lace Up Boots: Dr. Martens have quickly become a staple in my shoe collection. I find it funny though because in high school I thought they were absolutely way too clunky. Now I own four pairs (and counting) and I can’t get enough of them. Below I linked three of the four that I own and If I were to suggest one pair, go with classic black. They go with everything.
Dr. Martens Sandals: these have been on my radar for about a year now and I still haven’t taken the plunge. I first found them on ASOS in this beautiful buttery brown leather and I honestly regret not getting them when they were on sale because now they are all I can think about wearing for spring and summer. I linked a black pair but if those brown beauties come back I will definitely alert all you Dr. Martens fans.
Platfrom Booties: I have always had a thing for platform boots and have only recently purchased a pair. They give me those ’70s vibes I always love and admire. Also just so you know, they are much easier to walk in than they look, incase you may be hesitant on height. The ones I currently own are by Steve Madden and they are black leather with a brown wooden platform. I couldn’t find anything similar to those but I did discover a pair from ASOS that are a patent leather and just as freaking cool. Very low in stock so if you are thinking about them, go ahead and grab em’.
Snake Print Boots: I need, need, need snake booties and this has been a want for more than a year now. My big feet cause such a trouble however. I can’t find that perfect pair that fit like a glove and give me the look I am going for. If anyone is a wizard at finding those hidden gems that are seriously hiding in a deep deep hole, help me out. All I ask is for a chunky heel, semi-pointed toe and a size 12.
Steve Madden Justify Flared Heel Bootie: A pair that aren’t actually sitting in my closet and that it isn’t by choice. These babies are sold out and rightfully so. That rich smooth red color is drool worthy. You know I will be watching them like a hawk, waiting for them to come back in stock. Anyone else?
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 High Top Sneakers in Snake Print: My favorite sneakers of all time. I live in my converse, so when these popped up while browsing it was an easy add to cart and checkout. They too have that platform detail at the sole (clearly I like a little extra height) and have a shiny textured material that is easy to clean. Love to pair these causally and dressy. Be prepared to see these time and time again.
Are any of these calling your name and you feel you need in your shoe collection?
